Baume & Mercier contains a rich history in the world of watch making, now over 170 years. In 1830 two Baume brothers established the Baume Freres Watch firm in the Swiss Juna Region.
In fact themselves had been in the watch making business ever since the mid-1500s. As business flourished in Europe a grandson of the founder, William Baume met Paul Mercier, an excellent lover of the arts as well as in 1918 they created a business partnership with the traditions of perfection and quality that still exist today.
